Thank you very much, Bill. Well it's kind of like fishing. Sometimes I come back to shoot and the nut is gone and sometimes I come back, wait an hour and give up. Actually my wife feeds the birds walnuts. We buy 3 lb bags at Costco. Always have a couple of walnuts around for bait. You asked about gear: I'm using an Olympus OMD E- M1,II (that's a micro 4/3). For these shots I used a 40-150mm,f/2.8 alone or with a 1.4xT.C. or 2xT.C. So in FF equivalence it spans 80-600mm.
