Keep your politics out of this thread.
Everyone who is saying keep politics off this thread and that it’s about football must have their head in the sand. The NFL injected and has promoted politics in football. Anyone who posts about the NFL on any forum needs to be ready for political responses. Or maybe some people just like the politics of the NFL and not any opposing views.
The only point on the OP’s comments with which I don’t completely agree is the description of men with underwear on their heads. I’m quite sure that they were wearing jockstraps on their heads, and jockstraps are, to me at least, in a separate category. I know this is a trivial point, but when it comes to a discussion of the WORST HALFTIME SHOW EVER, I can’t think of anything else to say. They should have taken the Weekend off.

Keep politics off ANY thread on this forum, except for the Attic.
If you are gullible enough to listen to, read about or care about the political drivel the NFL spews that is your problem. I ignore it just as I ignore all their biased commercials and four hour games by taping the games and watching later.
Don't tell me I am a helpless victim of NFL politics as you are.
I'm man enough and bright enough to ignore it. I am also soon to be a former fan. I pity you.
Have a nice day.
Right. I wonder why they always pick country and rock singers instead of Broadway and opera singers. I remember Joyce DiDonato, one of the world's greatest opera stars, singing the anthem before game 7 of the 2014 World Series. She was spectacular. That being said, I thought Lady Gaga gave an excellent rendition of the anthem at the Biden inauguration--much to my surprise.

I gave up watching pro football 3 years ago. Judging by this thread I'm glad I did.
Me too.
The kneeling was too much for me.

I agree with you on everything except i don’t think ignoring it is the answer. How can those that don’t see the biases of the the commercials be shown how biased they are unless we tell them? I can’t tell my kids to ignore all the crap those ads are throwing at them. But I can at least try to give them a different perspective.

The National Anthem should NEVER be stylized. Period.

Wasn't much of a game, either. Mahomes didn't have a chance.
I spent halftime shoveling the snow from my deck.
The Jeep commercial, however, brought a tear to my eye.
I have sick kitty and her feeding time was right at halftime. She was on my lap and I have to hand feed her. I had no choice but to watch the first show since Janet Jackson. By the end I wanted to change places with my cat, I was the sick one.
And believe it or not Weekend, Weakend, Wknd, whatever his name is, actually put 7 million dollars toward his halftime show.
Oh and I watched the halftime show, that's about 20 or 30 minutes of my life I wont get back anytime soon...lol
Sure wish they would go back to having marching bands again.
Just my thoughts,

My wife asked how the half time show was. My two word answer "It sucked!" I usually don't bother with the half time show. The ones I have seen have all be easily forgettable.

I love this thread. The one thing I find as a new area of thought is watching the NFL and their bend on "social justice" is a one way street. If you have kids with you, an honest description of what is going on is the best way to open their minds to what will be more common programming in the future. As for the halftime show, the dude has more money than me, so he must be doing something right.....or left!
Funny, I agree! I didn't like the half time performance.
