I copied this from a friend's post on Facebook. If you need a laugh, here you go..!!

I’m confused about this halftime show. A guy gets out of a neon car, wearing an ill-fitted jacket and looking lost. He sits on a ledge... cut to a choir that looks like a bunch of sand people from Star Wars fame and aforementioned dude walks through a big door, singing some song I’ve never heard before. He wanders around, still looking lost, and singing more non-descript songs...
Cut to the fake orchestra 😡😡😡😡 and then a bunch of dudes marching around with underwear on their faces. They all die on the field and jacket-man walks off in triumph.
Me: Who is that supposed to be?
BF: Let me look it up....Weekend.
Me: What about the weekend?
BF: That’s his name.
Me: Whose name?
BF: The singer.
Me: There’s a singer named after a weekend? Like Labor Day?
BF: I guess.
Me: So is his official name SuperBowl Weekend?
BF: Maybe its interchangeable from weekends that he likes. You know, Memorial Day, Thanksgiving Day, etc.
Me: That has got to be a LOT of paperwork...

Nice funny story.

I remember the Beatles saying that part of their success was due to singing songs people could sing along to. Now it seems that popular songs are songs no one can sing along to or even want to sing along to.

That was probably the worst halftime show ever, and there have been some bad ones. What were they thinking?

Your story absolutely fit my thoughts about this show! So darn weird, like most of the past year!

I am too old to watch halftimes.

I love live performances and have watched most Super Bowl halftime shows a couple of times. You couldn’t pay me to watch that show again. I like the Weekend but he is not a Super Bowl halftime show caliber talent.

The half-time show was a huge disappointment to me. The theme of the show was confusing. I did not understand why all those back-up people had what looked like jocks on their faces.
Over all, the commercials were better in the past. The four quarter horses were given a big build-up but at show time were a let-down.
I truly felt the opening ceremony of America the Beautiful & The National Anthem came close to being a mockery.
I believe many high school/college bands would consider it a tremendous honor to play either/both and many singers would honor the U.S. with the traditional singing of both.

I gave up watching pro football 3 years ago. Judging by this thread I'm glad I did.

Pro football is fun and engaging to watch; halftimes are not.

My son did not watch the game, so I described the halftime as "Halftime sucked to the MAX".

This is what passes for talent these days. Why not? Look what just passed for President the last 4 years!

Seriously? The thread is not about politics; it’s about football.

It's about a disastrous half time show.

Football fans have been saying this for the last 3 years. It should be about football and not politics. Unfortunately, the NFL heavily injected politics into the game. Their right to do whatever they want. But by doing that, their sport is now viewed and judged through a political perspective by many including myself. I miss the days when I could just watch the game for the football and not analyze every comment or commercial from a political perspective. I found both the halftime show and many of the commercials to be very political. But Jim Nantz and Tony Romo did a great job keeping comments about football.

The NFL has the tendency to pick the worst talent for the Super Bowl there have been very few half time shows that have been good.
