Here is one for you; Mahomes was in kindergarten when Brady won his first Superbowl.
Umm, okay....
Still don't know who they are.
Maybe the kid is taking the old man to "school" today. We'll see...

In my opinion there is way too much emphasis put on professional sports.
I can understand that there is some satisfaction in some individuals performing certain actions well, but it's too much to expect everyone to be up to date on the players whether they're interested in that particular sport or not. When I was a kid I had no interest in sports beyond taking photos of the games. And that was more to develop my technical abilities with my camera than to appreciate the sport. Some people are like that and some people prefer the sports version.
When I lived in MA I got associated with a pickup soccer game with the over-50 crowd. I needed the exercise and that was one way to get it. I had no real enjoyment of the sport part of the experience. I couldn't care less who won. Nor was I interested in learning more about it. For me it was exercise, that's all. If you want to discuss the intricacies of the outfield pass rule or how far to drop the ball from a water hazard, I will walk away.
Everyone is entitled to like something. If you guys like to watch sports, fine with me, but don't expect me to be involved. If you guys like to play sports, that's even better for you.
This is my opinion. You are entitled to yours.

Hope it’s the other way around.

Though I am a fan of several sports (though not all by a long shot), I completely agree with you.
What people are thinking here, (I assume) is that fan or no, with all the news hype this week it’s pretty hard not to have seen these guys on tv or in the news.

Again, I guess I'm one of the weird ones. I don't watch TV other than some old movies occasionally and my news is online, where it's segregated into world, politics, financial, and sports and a few other things. I just ignore the sports segments.
I quit watching TV probably 40-50 years ago. There was nothing on that was valuable to me and I had other things to do. I have no problem filling my available time with projects that may or may not be valuable but are interesting to me. I don't need to sit and watch the tube now.
I want to apologize to everybody that read this thread it was posted as a joke but it turned into something I was no expecting, I am amazed that so many people did not know who those two people were or didn’t have an appreciation for American professional sports there seems to be a lot of myopic people in this forum. While it is a photography forum, photography is not everything. For all of you that live behind me I have a camera you are missing a lot of the real world.

Haha - I'm interested in a
lot of stuff, sports is just not one of them.
And photography is NOT my life. I don't shoot everything I see.
And there are many things other than sports...

No apology really necessary on your part. I might apologize for taking up so much space on a subject on which I am ignorant and uninterested. And while photography is not everything, neither are sports. But so many people assume that everyone should be interested in what they're interested in, I like to remind them that we're all different. And to paraphrase George Orwell (author of
Animal Farm), some of us are more different.
I just can't spend four hours watching a 60 minute game.
I think the last time I watched an entire game it was only 2 hours.

Watched about 10 minutes because the wife wanted to see what was happening.
