Osmosis??
Sports do not rule my life either, but if you are connected at all with what is going on in the country today by reading newspapers or listening to or watching the news, you, perhaps, would have had the opportunity to have heard of the superbowl. Your position would be similar to saying that you didn't know that Trump was facing impeachment because you aren't interested in politics. There are all sort of things going on that I could care less about (dancing with the stars) but I have at least heard of them. There is nothing necessarily wrong in not being aware of something. However, and I am not directing this at you, there is somethiing wrong in being proud of one's ignorance.

hahaha...
I know what the super bowl is, watched a few at parties. Always have to ask who's playing though...
I never said I didn't know what it was. YOU put those words in my mouth!
I do not pay attention to sports, so I have no idea who's playing most of the times.
I can't tell you who is dancing with the stars either. Don't care.
Yes, there are all sorts of things going on, I just don't care to remember every freakin' detail about everything that crosses my path.
You can call me ignorant if you like, your choice (and I don't care), but unaware is a much more accurate term.
Just because I'm not like you, or other people I'm odd? Damn.
And why would you say one would be or is proud of their ignorance? That's just plain nasty.
So, how much do you know about Quality Control, programming in multiple computer languages, how IC's, processors, and discrete semiconductors work? Ever design an electronic block control system for a model railroad? Are you not ignorant in those fields? If you are, are you proud that you don't know anything about them?
Don't you know that all people are not the same? We all have different interests.
And you think non-sports fans have a problem?.?

I think if you read the last line of my post, you would see that I clearly stated that it was not directed at you. No, I do not know about all the various computer and programming areas you mentioned. I do recognized their importance especially in the world we live in today. If you posted about some aspect of your field of expertise, I would not be responding that I did not know anything about what you were saying. I don't know much about a good deal of the technical photography and post processing discussions that are posted on a regular basis here on the UHH, but I don't feel compelled to share with the rest of the community that fact. Actually I also not interested in every freakin' detail about everything that crosses my path and I do not share with the UHH what I am not interested in . Yes "unaware" would be a better term when directed toward you, but I clearly stated that what I was saying about being proud about not knowing what was going on was not directed at you.

Not directed directly to me, but to (regarding) a group, into which I probably fit.
So, indirectly.
We're cool, at least on my end.
By the way, what was "improper" about my prior responses?
Since I had no idea who the people in the cartoon were, I should have not responded???
And you have no idea of how many topics I do NOT respond to here because it is not my expertise, or I have nothing (am unable ) to contribute.
Conversation is another thing.

Great. Keep safe. I don't think that either one of our daily routines will change at all because of the result a football game played in Tampa, Fla.

Probably not.
And I play solitaire on the laptop when my wife watches dancing with the stars.
Mahomes was without his two starting tackles. That's like defending against Russian bombers with radar down.
