Just one quote from DPReview sums up all their current and still ongoing testing with the new Sony A1 camera : "If you need a silent shutter for some types of work like wedding photographers, again the Press, on set photographers, this is the greatest camera that has ever been made."

Have you any idea what 8K can do ? Or flicker resistance ? High speed readout ?

Yes, a better camera can make someone a better photographer. But that someone isn’t just anyone.

With an A1 if your images are less than what you expected, hang your head in shame and know that it is you. No more gas attacks...oh wait...global shutter.

Yes I agree the next game-changer after stacked sensors will be global shutters. Sony managers told me the hang up with global shutters for consumer cameras is the dynamic range buyers will expect. They just aren't there yet in dynamic range but getting close. There are already plenty of global shutters from various makers in industrial applications. Cheers

Not sure...will decide after I've used the A1 for awhile.

I'm certain he is biased to some degree but he knows Sony cameras better than anyone and is not bouncing around between camera brands. I have tried a few suggestions from him on the A7R4 but not all worked for me.

I tend to view most of the videos from all the major reviewers and take away what makes sense for me and leave the rest, knowing their primary goal is furthering their YouTube channel and selling.
