Great shots. Nothing like the old metal dashboards.

Thank you junglejim1949, joecichjr, Rob48, Loren, Frank, Joe, Jack, Mainridge, tomlovesdestin! I've been looking for details about this Louvre for Old Cars. The owner told a reporter he makes more from photographer visitors than the family ever did as a junk yard.

What a Shame! These could have been restored at one time, with Beauty & Class, a real History of the Automobile Industry for which I am a 70 year old Retiree of FoMoCo. Spent 34 years assisting in a small part, from 1973 to 2007, in both good times & Bad. I Love going to "Old Car & Truck Shows", admiring the beauty of the restoration of the many Classic Vehicles. There is a Fantastic Automobile museum close to Kalamazoo, Michigan, that I need to visit this summer, if Covid-19 is Gone.

Actually it is my understanding that the Louvre did leave the Mono Lisa outside for a while and then it turned up under a bed somewhere.

A forest full of rusting cars for art photography. And buses, vans, trucks, etc ...

For a car junkie, it’s a bit like walking the Louvre, if that famous museum had left the Mona Lisa outside for 25 years.

Most of the vehicles are from the 20th century, and the classic cars from the 1950s through the 1980s are arranged haphazardly.

Nice shots. I love to see those old cars. I looked at the next to last shot (interior of the car) and I can't help to wonder who the original owner was. I can imagine the owner getting into this car with its new car smell and the pleasure of driving it for the first time. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for posting these, Paul. I always enjoy and read your posts and your responses. I appreciate the education I have received by doing so now for a couple of years. Stay safe in the windy city, my friend.

You do have an eye for the right detail to display indoor images. This is set that harkens back to my youth spent in junk yards and dumps. Thanx for sharing these wonderful images!

Great set Paul. #1 is fantastic and #3 could be my dad's '61 Buick LeSabre. I was eighteen and had almost free use of it. Loved that car in a red metallic with a white top. Same gray interior as #3.

Your shots show the lack of respect these seniors have received! They were all probably beautiful and treasured once upon a time!

If these were in a junk yard, the pocs would not be so nice. It's the setting thstbdies it.

Thank you Silverrails, SpikeW, xt2, sippyjug104, Jim, Earnest, nervous2, Tomothy, John, Carol, OleMe! I've tried a variety of approaches at OCC. Looking in at the car interiors is a favorite, something we all can kind of share from our memories.
