Thanks, everyone for playing along. These are my last for the challenge. ICM may never be your favorite, but once in a while, experimenting can be fun and is a way to learn more about what your camera (and editors) can do. I combined these in several layers and I think they look a bit like a pencil sketch. First I converted a horizontal and a vertical frame to BW and then stacked them. Varied the opacity of the top layer on each of the final images. I took 2 images of cardinals, removed their backgrounds and tried to set them on "tree limbs". (I have a lot more to learn on this step). Then, added a layer of snow. Thanks again everyone.

Your zooms turned out better this time, don't you think? Also love the light squiggles in the last 2.

Or, how to use them as layers. Just this week I think I got the "masking" thing figured out and the simple way to remove background in PS so you can replace it. Sometimes its quick, other times not. I have faith in you and know you can do it too.

A few more mixed bag. (That's not to say all of these were intentional!)

These two were a little harder; taken at the
beginning of a wooded area from about 100ft
away, but under extremely bright skies, so it
was a little more difficult using a slow shutter.

p12 I like the swirly zoom effect on the first one.
