The current home of the 49ers is only 13 miles from Stanford Stadium. Back to the topic, it's very difficult to compare the best athlete from different sports. Michael Schumacher or Lewis Hamilton or Tom Brady? I would say either Jimmy Clark or Ayrton Senna. It is extremely difficult in a team sport, as there are too many variables beyond the control of the athlete being compared.

Oh, but it's always fun. In my day, we'd compare Mickey Mantle and Al Kaline, or Babe Ruth and Ty Cobb. I had a professor who was young Babe Ruth was playing. Apparently Ruth was a tremendously charismatic individual and his legend was made as much off the field as on.
