I'm not sure I'd do it by myself, which is the way I normally travel. But maybe in a caravan???

At least two vehicles and two armed people in these trying times. You know the desert can be very unforgiving to people ignorant of it's ways. Plan well and make sure to set up a contact time at the west end in case you get in trouble along the way. Never abandon your vehicle and try to walk out. Vehicles are much easier to find than an individual wandering in the desert.

And always keep a blanket, food and water in the truck! It would be fun. I wonder who I could get to go with?

The ghost town of Ruby is a lot of fun. Getting there is also. We came in from Arivaca. Shortly after leaving Arivaca, the sort of paved road turned to dirt. It's not a bad road. Actually it's a really good road. But it goes every direction believable. By the time we arrived, I had no idea which direction was which (and I am really good at directions!). We couldn't get the map oriented either, so that didn't help. Now that I'm back home and trying to put names on peaks and ridges, it's really frustrating. So if any of you KNOW what the correct names are, I'd really appreciate it!

Stark beauty as most of the desert presents to us. Great set, thanx for sharing.

Beautifully crisp and clear landscapes, Kathy; I particularly like the one showing Baboquivari Peak.

Thanks, Rob. That one was hard. It is quite far away, and the haze was pretty bad. Also, there were some power lines on a VERY long run that I didn't even see until I put the image on the computer. I don't know that I did a very good job of taking them out, but I tried.
