Omitting (probably by design) the word r**t does not change the fact that the 'protests' harris was referring to were in fact r**ts. Denial of what was going on in many cities throughout the country doesn't work for those of us who can actually see and understand context.

Speaking for myself, I've never been against Canada. If fact I have a few pretty close Canadian friends and I've had some wonderful vacations there. I'd be interested to know exactly what it was that Trump did to cause you to conclude that he turned Americans against Canada.
It was the trade war attack on Canada of which I agree needed some adjustment but what got my ire up
was how fast the far-right here on UHH and in the far-right media jumped on trump's bandwagon
with insults and ugly comments towards Canadians. Never heard any complaints about the free trade that
we both had before trump and all of a sudden trump the head dog growls at Canada and trump mindless
far-right dogs attack over a trade war that amounted to a nothing burger. But I did get to find out that
not all Americans can be called Canada's big brother, they showed their true colors.

No they WEREN'T r**ts.
The protests in a few places were infuriated by outside agitators.

Well, that would be interesting that you would suggest that Trump might be innocent. No one on the left is saying anything of the sort.
I don't think anyone is dismissing the severity of the "i**********n", but I don't think that is what I would call it. I think that legally it is exactly the same as the r****rs who attacked the federal building in Portland. Both attacks injured federal employees. Both attacks damaged federal a federal building. And both appear to have been led by individuals bent on o*******wing the government of our country. But the press has certainly covered the two events very differently and couched them in different terms.

Terrorism is another word that is used when convenient (so I take your point). The i**********n aspect is borderline, however, the timing was when certification was taking place and the breaching made it more than a protest.
It reminded me more of a mob lynching event.

That would be consistent with the right’s w***e s*******y agenda and their prior MO’s. They even carried their team fight f**gs supporting lynchings.

This and a subsequent post regarding Harris are fine examples of the type of speech exemplified in Tolkien’s character named “Worm tongue” deliberately twisting the intent of others while seeking increased self-importance in the process.
I suggested no such thing. Allow me to simplify if for you. You and your buddies are trying to diminish the seriousness of the i**********n because it reflects poorly on trump. The point was, how different would your posts be about the i**********n if you felt you no longer had to provide cover for trump. In my book, his hands are bloody, he is responsible for what happened and will happen today and tomorrow.

You were obviously looking through rose colored glasses. Breaking windows, throwing objects, starting fires, and other destruction of property were violent, r**tous events no matter what sort of spin or denial you put on them. And BTW, you don't think there weren't outside agitators present in the Trump protest? Don't bother answering...I know you what will say.

Similar to the attack on the Capital, but that means nothing to a wingnut.
275 Dem r**ts vs. 1 Repub r**t. The Dems win hands down. But I repeat myself.

I do believe that the Democratic KKK was labeled the lynch mob.

I do remember when the Dems fought tooth and nail against desegregation and civil rights in the 60s fighting for W***e s*******y. Ask Biden, he caucused with some of the former KKK leaders in Congress, Senators Byrd and Stennis and others.

Guess you forgot that in '63 Kennedy sent troops into Alabama to enforce desegregation Univ. of Alabama, and in '64 Johnson signed the Civil Rights Act and '65 signed the V****g Rights act both came about because he cajoled The Senate into doing the right thing.

Whataboutism now going back to the 60’s? It used to be just back to Obama and Clinton. Time to keep reaching because there is no “whatabout” that comes lose to trumps i**********n.
