This is an excerpt from an article in today's NYT. The person being quoted is Representative Jason Crow, a Colorado Democrat and Army veteran.
“To the extent there were members of the House that were complicit, and I believe there were, we will pursue appropriate remedies including expulsion and a prohibition from holding elective office for the rest of their lives,” Mr. Crow said in an interview. “They will, of course, be subject to criminal investigation and prosecution if that’s what the facts of the investigation show.”

What are you so offensive? I didn’t say it happened. I expressed concern, passing no judgement on either party or no one specifically. Good Lord, you guys are difficult sometimes, for no valid reason. We should be adult-like about what we feel or say about present conditions.

Unfortunately there were at least two witnesses to "guided tours" being given to non elected officials or non staffers on Tuesday, January 5, 2021, when the US Capitol Building was closed to the general public which raises the possibility of insider cooperation to a high probability. Those tours were observed and reported by former military members who now serve on Congress, people who have military training to observe out of the norm activities because of serving in military theatres under combat conditions.
