Excellent, jederick. I think I would have removed the branches, though.

Thanks Ken...in a way it is a tough call for me. Almost subconsciously, to me they are a leading line to the river in midground and the mountain in the background. But...that is open to interpretation!!

Good morning, Jederick. That’s a very nice shot, and I’m undecided about those branches. They seem a bit distracting on one hand, yet are part of the whole scene on the other. Thanks for sharing Fall on the Virgin River.

Well, thank you for stopping by Greg and I appreciate you commenting...kinda like blondes and redheads!!

Very nice, crisp shot Jim - I do also wonder about those branches, possibly I would try to remove just the top part of them.

Thank you for stopping by and the suggestion We think alike, Joe...I actually tried that and the branches and scene looked hokey to me so passed on the attempt.

Thanks for looking and commenting, Mike...this is one I don't intend to print and is more for conversation here

Beautiful scene and nicely done. It's definitely a place that looks like I would love to go. Never been to Zion. It's one of the National Parks on my bucket list.
I too have a hard time deciding whether to get rid of possible distractions like those branches. I tend to go with the natural and true but it is a conundrum.

Many thanks, Lee for your supporting input. All to often we see photos where they have way to much "processing" that detracts from what we initially saw and photographed...so I ask myself, why did I take the photo?

Looking over photo albums reminiscing about where we would like to go when the pandemic subsides. This scene was taken a little ways outside Zion N.P. on a gorgeous fall day...would like to return this spring. Was going to remove the branches center bottom then decided I like what they bring to this scene.

Gorgeous image Jim
