Definitely part of the fun of posting a topic open to feedback and opinions. And, therefore...what appeals about #1, Mr. M? 😊

It's the softness. Negative clarity. It is awfully small to really examine. I don't know if the delicateness has been accentuated with some sharpening or not.

Thank you, Mark! I realized after posting that I had made too small for UHH download (that copy was intended for Create 52). I well remember your explorations with negative clarity and I enjoy the look quite often, almost as much as "glow" I did not sharpen, though there is some automatically applied in ACR. I'll climb out of my recliner and post a larger pic + the original before the day is over. Thanks again!

My county's numbers continue to rise. But I have a couple of safe options for groceries and a lot of space to walk my dog while staying six feet (or more) away from neighbors. We have all learned to conduct our short conversations in louder voices

Very nice images, and I agree with NJFrank about the Japanese feel to #2. You might try pushing it even more to look sketch-like. . . .and have you tried a tighter crop on #1?

Thanks very much for your time! I haven't cropped #1 any further, but I'm just about to post a full size with only the ACR edits, so please feel free to play

1. ACR edits only.

2. and 3. what I did in PS Elements ACR. The sharpen and noise adjustments are automatic and I usually don't even think about them because I went so many years not remembering they were even there

4. The additional edits using Nik Color Efex.

Questions welcomed! Feel free to play with the jpg.
