i subscribed to this magazine it got where they could not get my mags to me. I would have to call them and then they would send it again to the same address. Then I would get it. Then it got where they didn't have any more copies when I would call them but I could get it online. Then even that quit working but I keep getting subscription offers. I would like to get the mag but I cannot depend on them to deliver and besides I have heard that they are no longer doing the paper mag. I didn't like trying to read it online.

OP published an online only version for about 3 months from about April to June, then returned to paper and digital. Like you, I don’t like reading magazines in a digital formats. The only advantage is that they are available weeks before the hard copy appears in your mailbox. Since they resumed publishing the paper mag, I’ve had no concern except that the issues are only 64 pages long. There does seem to less advertising though, which is actually more troubling.

My subscription runs until sometime next year. I have been receiving it all along. It does not have as many pages as before (less advertising), but some of the articles are just as good as they were a few years back.

I recently received a postcard from Outdoor Photographer offering a printed edition instead of the digital subscription, which was spotty at best. I responded indicating I preferred the printed edition as it made for
better reading in the bathroom. We will see what happens!

My wife ordered a subscription for me thru Amazon. Amazon returned money saying it was not available anymore thru them. Haven’t tried directly thru publisher yet.

I too started receiving it as a substitute when another magazine ceased publication. It did not excite me at all----too many stories about trips to far away exotic places that I could never go to and reviews of equipment that that I could not afford or use. It just was not relevant to me. I returned the mail offer with a note that I was not interested. I kind of miss Popular Photography and Modern Photography, but that is another story---

They usually honor it even if it is expired. Send it anyway, the worst that can say is NO.

I year $15.97. Only a $1 more. Or call them at (800) 283-4410 and offer $14.97 for 1 year. I bet that you will get it for that price.

I have a Kindle subscription and today received a notice that Outdoor Photographer was going from 11 to 9 issues a year. Will not be renewing.
