The top of Mount Rainier stands at 14,410 feet above sea level. Mount Rainier, an icon in the Washington landscape, is the most glaciated peak in the contiguous U.S.A., It spawns five major rivers and has subalpine wildflower meadows ringing the icy volcano while ancient forest cloaks Mount Rainier’s lower slopes. Wildlife abounds in the park’s ecosystems. A lifetime of discovery awaits.

I went to the Visitor Center at Paradise and just up the hill a short distance was able to get these shots.

I used a Nikon D810 with a 24-140 f/4 lens. Most shots were f/8 or f/5.6 and the shutter speeds ranged from 125th of a second to 500th of a second.

Beautiful! See that mountain every clear day! Noted two Olmels laying in the snow. Very colorful for this time of year! Thanx for sharing.

Looks pretty, but I certainly wouldn't want to fly in the area - the rotor clouds would certainly cause non-pilot-induced oscillations!!!
