I haven't seen anyone else post pictures from the launch of the SpaceX starship on December 9th, so here are the images I got on that day, taken from about 5 miles away in Port Isabel Texas. The sight and sound of it were incredible. Due to the distance, the sound was delayed for a few seconds.

Nice shots, enjoyed them. Such a hoot, the ship reminds me a little of the space ships in the ancient Flash Gordon movie matinee shorts.

This launch and attempted landing is an entirely new technology. They’ve landed boosters before but never a rocket. Quite a sight. I hope to see another one in about 2 weeks.
