In the winter now days, I primarily shoot ice. This was the first opportunity of the season. After the rain erased all our snow over the eve, and Christmas day, the temps dropped enough to form ice in a couple puddles, which were barely a quarter inch deep if that.

Well done Processing - Composition, tonality, color rendering. The subject matter has been very well presented. The definition of an abstract image is Definitely represented here!

Great thought for this time of year.

Thank you Doug. Even though it is a flat surface it appears rather 3 dimensional

Enjoyed your creative abstract idea Mark. I enjoy seeing the different graphics come together in an interesting composition. Happy New Year, Bev

These are delightful photographs!
I appreciate the abstract both in art and thought. Also, I like ice --I like it lot! Pity there isn't as much as there used to be.

Yea, big bergs are calving off right and left but on the smaller scale its pretty reliable.

I love ice, so thank you for sharing yours in these lovely photos. We have yet to see much of the stuff, and though I know of a few frozen creeks I haven't had the time to venture out and see for myself. I particularly like ice formations and the weird shapes they can take on, but your mixes of ice and leaves, and the flat surfaces of frozen water, make for some great abstract images. I'll be watching for more.

Ice forms in so many different ways. Fascinating to me. Always something new to see. I'm the guy at the beach looking down at the patterns in the sand. Or the reflections of color and light in the water.

Really nice work. You inspire me to "get out there".

I hope you do. I’m glad for the inspiration. Even the smallest puddles frozen over can be gems and they can be close to home.
