If you put a day old doughnut in the microwave for about 5 or 10 seconds, it will taste fresh.

Are suggesting to put Luminar ai in the microwave?

Sure! Nuke it! I'm a Lightrooms/Photoshop/Premier junkie. Still, I will probably pay list price for Luminar AI if reviews show that the promises become reality.

rvenneman and goldstar46, the only reason AI is a hot item is it helps produce a photograph of suitable quality for those who lack knowledge of photographic processes. That lack may be through a disinterest in learning and using the basics. For those folks, it's back to the Kodak days, "you press the button, we do the rest" sort of thing. This is the sort of thing that tries to replace photographic talent and skill with software. Marketing at its best.
As for the statement regarding film, there's nothing like it. There are things that can be accomplished with film that digital would fail miserably trying to do. At the same time, there are things that can be done digitally that would be difficult to impossible to do using film. Embrace both worlds. It doubles one's fun.

Yes, Rmalarz
I can see a 'Real Market' for AI... The world is filled will many, many types of people and, 'to each his own' and as I say many, many time...... That is "OK" for each of us to be who we are...
As for me, being an 'old cop' and a 'conservative', I live by the philosophy of: "Live and Let Live"
..... Said a different way... "You do you're thing and allow me to do mine."
There are those who will use AI, to their commercial advantage and those who will use it as a "Jumping Off Point"... AND... There are those who still in believing in using 'Pinhold Cameras' ha ha ha ha Sooooo ??

I was one of the early pre-orders and was able to download it yesterday.
It looks like a good starting point, but everything I have tried needed a bit of tweaking after whatever AI engine was applied to the photo.

Yes - it opened up for downloads for the first 30,000 purchases. Everyone else needs to wait until Dec 15.
