It's been many months since I ventured out with my long lens in search of birds. But I finally did last Friday. It was a beautiful, sunny late fall day. The kind of day where the light is great all the time because the sun is so low in the south sky. I had some luck. The birds were active. Here are a few of my best shots from last Friday afternoon. Taken at the Union Bay Natural Area in Seattle (just east of the UW) with a Nikon D500 and a Tamron 150x600MM G2 lens.
