I have visited the city of Rothenburg ob der Tauber in Germany several times, and took photos of this church on a couple of those occasions. This set combines pictures from different years’ visits. The Altar of the Holy Blood has a carving of Jesus and the 12 Apostles, but it is difficult to find the 12th Apostle. It will be revealed in one of the photos.

That’s a great set, David. When I was in Rothenburg, I had no enough time to see everything I wanted to, so that your post is very helpful. Thank you.

The woodcarver of that altar was Tilman Riemenschneider, who died in about 1531. He worked mostly in that general area and several of his altar pieces exist nearby. He is one of the most famous of his craft
Super set, David. Always love your interior shots!!
