Rothenburg ob der Tauber, Germany – St. Jacob’s Cathedral
I have visited the city of Rothenburg ob der Tauber in Germany several times, and took photos of this church on a couple of those occasions. This set combines pictures from different years’ visits. The Altar of the Holy Blood has a carving of Jesus and the 12 Apostles, but it is difficult to find the 12th Apostle. It will be revealed in one of the photos.

I have visited the city of Rothenburg ob der Tauber in Germany several times, and took photos of this church on a couple of those occasions. This set combines pictures from different years’ visits. Thanks, NMGal. It is impressive. There are 2 main Altars, one in a section of the church higher than the rest (over a street, IIRC).

Beautiful set, David. How great was it to be there when the altar was decorated for Christmas. Thanks for the history, especially the missing Apostle; the carvings were magnificent.

Nice memories, David. While stationed in Germany I lived about 20 miles from here. Many walks and shopping trips. Gorgeous at Christmas.
