Taken after dark only light was from the cars on the road, then worked in Photoshop

Here’s one from Norris Geyser Basin in Yellowstone. Fairly harsh light coming in so I created a pseudo neutral density filter effect in Lightroom to tame it a bit.

Really nice,KC!

Use of Light..

The First Image is the original, from a drizzly foggy morning out with my Hubby for some fall color shooting.
The Second Image is the edited version a lightened some areas and darkened others with the burn and dodge tool.I also boosted the structure which added some light right where I wanted it..

Good editing! Dull rainy days can certainly be a challenge!

Thanks Judy Juul! I am glad I could. Your photos are great examples of light and how it makes the photo. Love them!

OMG! What a gorgeous photo! Not sure how far off it was to begin with and producing a ND filter likely helped. But I have the feeling you were not too far off. Stunning!

Back lit by the sun, like the way you worked this Clicker

Thanks Simon. It was one of those opportunities that last only a minute or two. My husband and I always go for early Sunday morning drives... He has gotten used to my "stop the car!" statement and as he stops I am bailing out! LOL!

I really like this Simon. Trying to figure out what you used to make the rim of light around your subject. Well done!
