Looking at your Iceland posts, my first thoughts are "hats off to those that settled this rugged land". Thank you for taking us there, Joe and it is better viewed in the summer!!

Thank you Jim. Good thought, the first settlers were mainly from Norway and thus probably from similar settings. Summer is definitely the better time to go there, even though our last trip to Iceland was this February and, except for the daylight being relatively short, it was not an unpleasant experience - Iceland prides itself of being warmer in the winter than New York City!

Great shots. I've only been to Iceland once and the rotator ran off the end of the runway. We were on the ground at Reykavik? only for a few minutes and then on back to Sondestrom, Greenland, for the rest of my overseas bit. The Miami of the North where there was a beautiful girl behind every tree!
