Thank you Ken - I would highly recommend to visit this country, and if you can, to do a self-drive and if at all possible around the entire ring road like I did - there is so much beauty up in the aastern and northern part that gets missed by too many that are just concentrating on the southwest. - But I'll let you judge this over the coming weeks as we get deeper into this almost "No man's land". (I did say ALMOST!) Joe

Thank you David. Those sheep - they just stand there and stare - they can sure outstare you! Joe

Thank you Angler for looking in on my Iceland tour - glad you like these pictures. I heard from you last time when we were down in the fishmarket in Muscat/Oman - and here we are very much in fish territory again. I don't know anything about fishing, but see plenty of references that fishing seems to be great here in Iceland, so this could be a great place for you. We are just about a third into this tour with a few apparently good fishing rivers coming up somewhere in the next months or so - so please look in on the tour whenever you feel like - I do one posting every day. Thanks for looking - Joe

I am wending my way in the Eastern region from Djupivogur around the Berufjördur fjord towards the eventual overnight stop in Egilsstadur, along numerous fjords and inlets in a pristine sea and mountain symbiosis. In this set we gaze at the blue waters of the Berufjördur fjord and see from afar a maritime farm practising aquaculture for cod and salmon, surrounded by craggy mountains.

I know - it is eerie, they must have seen photographers before, maybe too many? You are welcome Rob.
