Speed is a scalar, velocity is a vector.

Speed is a large aperture or a high ISO. Velocity is what leads to posts about “Is this worth repairing?”.

I read it in high school when I was taking my trigonometry class. I don't remember the details but it must have made a good impression since I still remember it.

There was a short illustrated book about a romance between a dot and a line. I kinda recall it touched on the cultural differences with their families.

And having Chris T on any thread - he could take a one pager and turn it into a 40 pager, with 38 pages being his posts - anyone remember him?

There are more . . . you can pick anything - and the tribesmen and women (sometimes) will come out and debate.

I was hesitant to respond to this post hoping that I wouldn't wake up that sleeping dragon. The one thread I remember was his attempt to rename APS-C/cropped sensor to something else. I think it went about 25+ pages. No useful information (if there was any) after the first page followed by insults/jeers between him and two or three other responders. The whole thread reminded me that don't wrestle with pigs in the mud; they enjoy it and you're going to lose.
