For me it’s well done. I personally would not change the chair’s arm. For me makes it a more relaxing scene. I could picture the sitter leaning back with his/her elbows resting on the chair arm enjoying that cup of coffee. Perhaps add a slice of pie on that dish.

Thanks Frank! I had a pumpkin pie that I got from the grocery store this weekend. Didn't even think about it. Maybe half eaten?

I am generally not a fan of this kind of photo editing because I prefer things to be more natural-looking, but in this case I believe you have excelled. Congratulations.

Thank you! I am glad you liked it. I agree not every image works with this type of editing.

I forgot to mention that this was my second attempt at exposure stacking. There was a lot of light coming in from the window and it was getting blown out when I set the exposure for inside the room. I had my camera on a tripod and took 7 photos in a row, adjusting the shutter speed two stops each time starting with the correct exposure on the window then moving to the correct exposure for the room. I merged them in Lightroom then took it to Photoshop.

Good information, thanks!

Re the chair arms, and also the sides of that one, maybe just a small amount of masking/editing would help define the pieces better. As with the glass, these are minor details and don't detract from the overall impact at all. It is a wonderful scene you captured/created.

Nice work, Keni! First impression is reminiscent of the great Impressionistic painters such as Monet or Degas. (pun intended! ;-) What particular Topaz filter did you use? I love this effect and would like to give it a try on a couple of my images. Thanks for sharing!

I like the feeling you've portrayed Keni. Definitely wallpaper to go along with the curtains and the tablecloth, to complete the story. Took me back to my Swedish Grandmother's dining room. Well done, Bev

This is an excellent picture. I would like to see it with the light subtly subdued, especially at the window.

Thank you Tommy! The filter was called "3 Hens Nesting Original Background". Strange name but I like using it. Usually I soften the effect by reducing the opacity in Topaz especially when you still want it to look like a photo but for this one I used the full opacity.

Thanks. The light in this one was difficult.

I was working on challenge with the theme "Seating". I decided to take this one a little further and applied a Topaz Studio filter. Although the wall was a solid color I like the wallpaper effect it created.

Gave it a very nice painterly feeling. Good composition and nice lighting. Very well done!

The wallpaper technique tied it all in, didn't it.

While I generally do not care for all the post filters, this one came out really well. Thanks for the effort to get it right.
