I've been using the photographer's package from ADOBE since it's inception in 2014, with FREE updates for a monthly subscription of $9.99 which includes Photoshop CC and Lightroom.. Both with continuous updates at no charge whatsoever....AND..the subscription price has NOT changed $.01 since 2014!!.. I think TOPAZ can learn a lesson here as many will NOT opt for going for a renewed additional cost license!!

I think you are being fooled here by Adobe, of course you have to pay for the updates, you have to pay every month, don't you realize that? So by you saying you get continuous updates at no charge whatsoever, you are fooling yourself. Try not paying next month and see if you are still able to use your "FREE?" Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom programmes.

You can actually buy Topaz and use it whenever you want without ever paying a single penny more unless you want to update it. You can NEVER buy Adobe Photoshop or Lightroom anymore, you can only rent it. That is a major difference and a major draw back, compared to Topaz.

3 different products. Sharpen AI does get rid of some noise, however, DeNoise AI gives you more versatility and capability.

Sharpen AI helps to improve photos that have a little blur, focusing issues or generic.

Hi UUHs,
l like to take my post processing to a notch up.
Some UHHs helped me with some Yellowstone photos about a month ago and mentioned usingTopaz.
I am going to buy it but encounter several choices:
1. Topaz DeNoise AI: $79.99 - sale $59.99
2. Topaz Mask AI: $99.99
3. Topaz Sharpen AI: $79.99
I just want to DeNoise some photos not as sharp (shot with ISO too high). Also some of the night shots.

They all have a lot of markets jargon, that really it is value as the opinion of those who use the software. Is true I have to have one for the night photos and one for the others?
Thank you

IMHO:
1. Topaz DeNoise AI: Best on the market by far.
2. Topaz Mask: Tried it, didn't buy it. I believe I can do as well in Photoshop.
3. Topaz Sharpen AI: If I didn't own it I wouldn't buy it. DeNoise has a sharpening function that is almost as good.

Topaz has a free trial period with fully functional software. Try them all and see what, if any you like and would use.

Thank you. I am leaning towards DeNoise AI

I would suggest the DeNoise Al. I do use this on most of my images. After I open the program, I use the Al Clear Tab instead of the DeNoise tab. I move the slider all the way for denoise and sharpening. Images come out great.

I have a discount code for all Topaz Products. PM me if interested.

I heard enough now to buy DeNoise AI.
Yes, if you have the code, I like to have it.
Thank you

Check this out. Especially at ~7:00 minutes in for thoughts on when to use Denoise AI and / or Sharpen AI. https://youtu.be/VAFN1w2n75E

I shoot film (grain, usually above middle gray like in the sky) as well as digital noise (usually in the shadows). I tried Denoise and NeatImage a few years ago. But I wasn't happy with either of them.

My approach now is to use Capture One to select only the areas where I see the problem. It's fairly easy to isolate and often not an area where I care about the detail. I mask it and apply a Gaussian blur. This way I can leave the sharpness untouched in the rest of the image.

If you are purchasing one of the programs for denoise purposes, buy the Topaz DeNoise AI.

I'd buy DeNoise AI now while on sale, using a code for the additional discount. Some hogs have a discount code to share; otherwise, google is your friend: topaz denoise ai coupon

Also, get their e-mails. They rotate sales - this month it's Denoise, next month Sharpen, next month another...

I'd suggest downloading the trials of their other products, try each, then note which ones you like. Then watch for when each goes on sale. They also offer bundles. What's very nice is that for any product in the bundle that you own, it reduces the price of the bundle (so you are paying for only what you don't have). Watch for sales on the bundles, and coupons work there too.

Nice thing, the coupons/discount codes work IN ADDITION TO any sale price.

I have owned the entire Topaz suite for many many years and all that time, Topaz were the only company in the entire market that always gave free updates every time they brought out improvements. All these years I could get the latest they offered and it did not cost me a penny more. All other software charged for the new versions each year. So, Topaz was always a great company to own software from.

Topaz don't need to learn any lessons from Adobe because they never charged a monthly ransom and still don't, unlike your Adobe Photoshop. You do not have to upgrade each year for the new Topaz in order to keep using it. You can keep using it for years to come and never pay another penny.

If you stop paying your Adobe Photoshop next month, they will shut you down and you won't be able to use your Photoshop any further, ever, unless you start paying your monthly ransom again. Therefore, you can not compare Topaz or On1 or any others to Adobe, because with the others, you buy it once and own it for ever. Then you can choose to update it if you feel you need to update. If you choose not to pay an update, you can keep using it for as long as you like and it will not cost you a penny more. That is the freedom of choice that I prefer because I do not always need every update that comes out. I don't want to be dictated to that I MUST pay the monthly fee or I get shut out, like Adobe does.

Right up to the time where you update your operating system and suddenly you need one or more of those updates.

Re your reply Above to Lucian.

I’m betting Lucian doesn’t update his operating system. Or his hardware.

Some people like to lease their car. Other people like to buy their car. There is room for both types in the market.
