Blue Ridge Parkway

Took a trip to the Blue Ridge Parkway with the family Sunday. Maybe a tad early for the really great fall colors but still managed to get a few good shots. Nothing super spectacular but wanted to share. Thanks for looking and I hope you enjoy. CC always welcome.

I love the parkway. I am in NC and the section I was at is near Blowing Rock, NC. Fall is my favorite time there. I usually dont get up there till its almost too late for the leaves and I think I jumped the gun and got there a bit too early. I may try again in a week or two.

Lovely shots! Mother Nature is being particularly capricious this year, with more red on the ground than in the trees. My fave is the bridge. Please stay well and keep on sharing.

I live pretty close and go every year. The middle to end of next week should be close to peak on most of the North Carolina section of the Parkway.

Thank you for looking Ourspolair! I think I went a wee bit early to get the great color on the trees. Some places had better color than others but it was so crowded up there it was hard to find good places to stop.

No didn't go that far. We stayed around the Blowing Rock section. Near Price Park and up to the viaduct.
