Rouen, France in 2015 – Part 4 – Rouen Cathedral –Interior
In 2015 while anticipating a concert tour with my church choir, I participated in a cruise of the Seine River beginning and ending in Paris, France (where I’d meet up with the choir). One of the ports of call was the city or Rouen, and these are some photographs of my experience there. I’ve made several sets of my time in Rouen because there are a lot of pictures I’d like to share.

Very nice images, love the European cathedrals.
I have found it difficult to capture the majesty and magnitude of ancient Christian cathedrals and their ornamentation. You have done a remarkable job representing these remarkable sites. WELL DONE!
RodM, thank you very much! I do, too.
Longshadow, I agree! Thanks for looking at all the sets.
WCS, thanks a lot. You are correct -- it is difficult (impossible) to properly depict these sites, yet many of us attempt it.
I am so glad you seem to handle taking pictures of these cathedrals so well.

Thank you very much, NMGal. I am always pleased when folks like my pictures. I don't know that I'm better at Cathedrals than anyone else, but I've had quite a lot of practice. I guess that matters.
You just keep on bringing us beauty.
Another excellent set David.

Blair, you're welcome. I enjoy sharing my photos with those who appreciate them.
They told us that sarcophagus contains Richard the Lionhearted's heart, the rest of him is somewhere else. Rouen is on the Seine River. Richard built castles on the river to defend it against the French and the Normans. His brother John was left to rule England. Or so the docent told us.
