Right you are, the bad guy wins again. The one that fired the first shot is the bad guy, he is still alive, probably pulled his Girlfriend in front to protect himself. How else could he survive with only one injury yet Taylor who was not the source of gunfire got hit 7 times.
While I am talking I might add that only law enforcement would knock before breaking in , bad guys would not announce their presence.
