Yup... I ditched the UV filter when digital came along... UV can be tempered in post production but the main objection to filters is the degradation of image quality- especially when the things get dirty. True, almost everyone will swab a tissue or shirt sleeve over the outer filter surface but the inside surface gets dirty, too. Subjecting the lens to repeated temperature changes "breathes" air in and out of the space between lens and filter and with that air exchange comes moisture and dust.
Nope, nothing I just said addresses the green stains in your example images- 'cause the other respondents are correct: out of focus shrubbery between lens and subject... which can be made worse by a dirty filter.

The only problem is you are taking your shot when there is greenery between you and the subject. Waitng until the bird is in the open with no leaves or branches in the way is the solution. Lots of bird photographers use blinds to hide behind, with a clear view of the places where the bird is likely to land.
