Hello ,
First of all sorry to bother you all .
I have a technical problem :
Camera is Panasonic lumix dcm fz 20( 2004 ) , quite old camera but I did not used too much .The camera slept
in the drawer for long time . Today I have to use it for some reasons .

While saving in Tiff format, the pictures become mostly green . On the contrary Jpg format are perfect .
I am amateur and I do not understand if the sensor / camera is broken or it is my fault .
Besides I do not remember what happened in the past : maybe I did not save in tiff format at all .Jpg only .
Thanks a lot for any of your Helps
Best Angelo's regards

Check the "White Balance" selection setting on your camera. It is possible that it is set for a lighting condition that is different than what you are taking a picture of.

Thanks Sippy
Sorry again , but I did not read how to use the post .
By the way
Camera is setting in P mode that means all is automatic no need to set W/B , I suppose .
Besides the tiff is green inside the room or outside the balcony ..

You have both jpg and tif from the same time of shooting? Or are you comparing old jpg to new tif?

Or, did you take the photos in jpg, and then save as tif in an editor?

Which photo editor are you using?

I'm not familiar with Panasonic cameras, but normally exposure mode and white balance are independent, so it could be your WB setting. Attaching a sample photo might help diagnose the problem.

Linda , thanks for you reply .
Yes I get TIFF plus jpg while shooting one time. Tiff is " green " jpg is perfectly nice .
No , I took and save in jpg , that's all.no to save from jpg in to tiff ...
Note that this camera can save in 3 ways : tiff , jpg ( 2MB) and jpg ( 1MB ).

I've been told the tif will look green until you edit it. When a tif is created in the camera, it's like a raw file; it's supposed to be edited.

Interesting dilemma.
Your problem is NOT normal.
Google brought up several threads and most seem to point to a bug in the camera related to the memory card.
What size are you using?
From what I'm reading, it looks like if you use a card bigger than 1GB, TIFF files will make everyone look like "Shrek", like your example you posted, but JPEG files are fine with bigger cards (but I'd stick with 2GB or smaller). TIFF files are not the same as raw files. I'm guessing here, but suspect this camera saves as 8 bit color and won't have the latitude to correct sucessfully.

These are a few old threads and no longer complete, but:
