Enjoyed your set of images Linda. Felt I was walking down the aisles of applies with you, especially #2. Winds shifted and central Oregon is in it's 2nd day of terrible air quality from 3 fairly close fires. Bev
I appreciate your time and comments, Bev. The terrible news out of Oregon is almost unimaginable. Please take care.

Commercial orchards just north of Yakima, Washington. Smoke is from wildfires near and far.

The last is a 3-shot pano (vertical orientation) showing the ridge to the left of the southern entrance to the Yakima River Canyon. The canyon (a designated scenic byway) was part of a 75,000 acre fire.

Feedback and suggestions are welcomed.

A bit of nostalgic glow for the few old-time orchards left.

Thank you so much for your visit, Rob. We are enduring a hazardous air quality week in Yakima - from smoke - but we aren't burning like much of the rest of the west, so I'm grateful for that.

Clear and cooler Maine seems very far away...

All the best to you!

I'm pleased you enjoyed, Merry - thank you! We've had very bad air this week, so I'm grateful I was able to get out last Thursday for those photos. The sadness of the Northwest's burning up and the South's hurricane damage is overwhelming at times.

i have 2 cousins ...one in washington and one in oregon...it is terribly sad to see all the pictures i've seen of the fires and smokey skies they have posted. when is it ever going to end, or will it ever...it's a scary time ...hope and pray some rain will come and wash it all away. nasty sally needs to go away too!
