For those folks who have lamented the progression from Film SLRs to DSLRs to Mirrorless cameras to "Camera Phones", the future doesn't have to be something to fear. For instance, by now, Doctor McCoy would have discovered a cure and invented a vaccine for this COVID Crap.

We are more often frightened than hurt; and we suffer more from imagination than from reality.

The original Star Trek, Was in 1964. Much of the technoloy we routinely use today, was not even a dream in 1964. A modern I phone is far more sophisticated than the communicators. I have more computer power in my lap than existed in the 1964 time frame

Fear has two meanings: ‘Forget Everything And Run’ or ‘Face Everything And Rise.’ The choice is yours.

Third option is to hide. Or is that a subset of the first one? This is getting too complicated.....😕

A little man who wasn't there
He wasn't there again today
Oh, how I wish he'd go away."

A doctor friend of mine used to say "The ANticipation is worse than the PARticipation." Usually before he gave me a shot. (I was quite young at the time.)

I read that today's laptops have more computing power than did all the Apollo series capsules, LEMs, etc. However, to be fair, the capsules' computers had very limited tasks compared to those of today's computers.

One thing they've never gotten correctly, though, is the transporter technology. They've routinely ignored Heisenberg's Theory of Uncertainty. In part (oversimplifying), it states that one can't observe and measure simultaneously. There are others to be sure; faster than light travel, and still seeing light(?), among others.

Yes unless you are one of the unlucky ones who dies. Then it’s real.

I have no fear. My gear will keep working no matter what the next big thing is.
