I went for a nice ride on my scoot yesterday. I came upon this old Revolutionary War soldier. I went around to the other side and asked "Have you seen any other riders?" He said "They went that-a-way."

Buried beneath that monument is Revolutionary War hero Israel Putnam. The monument is located on Canterbury Road in Brooklyn, CT.

It was dedicated in 1888 to honor Putnam, a Massachusetts native who served with distinction during the French and Indian War and who later abandoned his plow in the field to join the Continental Army when the American Revolution began.

Your right about the two wheels. It is nice to get out in the country. Just have to be on the alert
for four wheelers, cows, deer, turkeys, etc. My scooter has a fairly large storage area under the seat.
A tripod would fit very nicely. My old Honda Gold Wing also had enough storage for things like that.

You're not joking about being on the lookout for critters!! Gotta stay so alert!

I'm on a new to me BMW R1150RT-P...a former police bike with BMW's 'City' bags. I'd like to carry the tripod in a vertical fashion and keep the bags, which have just enough room for a 4/5 field camera...nothing like the challenge of fabrication!

Who knows? Entirely possible we'll cross paths!!

You never know. I once ran into a good friend overseas during the Vietnam War. He was a captain flying B-52
missions. Also ran into an aunt and uncle in the gift shop at Hershey Park in Pa. many years ago.

It's not bad but I don't think it's quite as good as an easy chair.
I have an air cushion to give my backside a little softer ride.
By the way, I'm also a Stan.

Yes it is but whenever riding on two wheels you have to be alert for hazards such as
other motorists, animals, etc.

Thanks jederick. I try to get out when the weather is nice. Been riding for almost sixty years now
so I have a few miles under my belt.

Did you get up to Laconia, NH for Motorcycle Week??
