Thanks for the comment but I do not have nor want Photoshop. Nice idea though. Anything about the present picture submitted?

Maybe move closer and center on the middle escalator. Then patience until the right scene presents itself.

Great idea of course. The next time I am in an airport I will give it a try.

Dennis, your comment about not having nor wanting Photoshop sounds incredibly ill informed, kind of like those who repeat the adage that Ansel Adams didn’t have it, so his photos are more ‘pure’ or something. All the digital tools are best used to optimize an image, and you agree, as do I, that this image is quite a ways away from being optimized. Photoshop will never make a good photographer out of a less good photographer, or a great image out of a mediocre one, but it gives every guy with a camera a chance to show their best with what they got.

Incredibly ill informed you say. Hmmmmmmmm. I know about PhotoShop. My friend has PhotoShop and I see him use it quite often. Yes it is a wonderful program and he puts it to excellent advantage for HIM. But may I suggest you take a good look at my photo, you know, the one you are talking about. There are many things wrong with this photo that PhotoShop is not going to fix nor is any other post processing program. The composition is not good, the lighting is not good, the subject matter just plain sucks, As Is. Now I could have waited there until just the right woman, by herself, was on the escalator wearing just the perfect red dress to highlight her presence for my photograph. Of course she would have had to be alone to make the photo greater, in the right position on the escalator, coming down and not going up. Yes there are a lot of things I could have done to make the photo better SOOC. Problem was I needed to be on the next flight out of there. As the old saying goes, time waits for no photograph. You take them as you see them.
Obviously I knew all of this before I submitted the photo but wanted to see what others might say, to get their opinions on what I had visualized compared to what I ended up with. My photo came up short and no amount of PhotoShop would have fixed that.
I am not sure what I am ill informed about but it isn't about PhotoShop.
Have a Happy New Year,
Dennis
