Focus Stacked Image for Another Planet

This one truly looks like it is a visitor from another planet. It's actually a Mayfly that my grandson caught for me while we were on vacation last week and it had started to dry up.

Not letting an opportunity go to waste, I thought that it made an interesting subject and I posed it for a focus stacking session.

Thanks, Quixdraw. It surely is not the beauty of your bees on flowers although it makes a good study in textures and one for the book of strange for sure.

Thanks, Nature has its own strange ways. I found it interesting how the large compound eyes collapsed forming the interesting patterns.
