It is definitely a handy tool to have available when you need to spike the punch a little.

I tried an evaluation of Filter Forge sometime back. I liked the program and the downloadable filters were endless, but for the full version I could not justify the cost.
If the full version is on sale for 50.00 I would jump on it, but I will check and suspect the 50.00 is for the limited version.
As I thought...the standard version is 50.00, but it is I limited to duo cpu & 3000x3000 images,8 bit and a few other limitations. The professional at 80.00 is not limited to Bit depth, CPUs or image size. If going for it to use, go for the professional one time or subscription.
I gave Filter Forge a 30 day trial and was impressed ( as others that use it have shown, it does some neat things!)
Even at 80.00 or 30.00 for a 3 month subscription I am on the fence right now.
I just may jump in with the pro version.
I have it but don't really use it unless I'm completely stumped for ideas. It's not a go-to program for me
This is the mentioned 45' mural done through Filter Forge. It's an effects rendition of a succulent grouping I shot for this restaurant in Mountain View. I also did the shades over the bar, with a closeup of the film overlay.
You can definitely have some fun with this software. I just don't use it shooting interiors or events.
