Not from the button I showed in my screenprint. See the button directly above the Guidelines stickied doc in PP Forum (on the same line as subscribe/unsubscribe): https://www.uglyhedgehog.com/s-116-1.html

However, I just realized that you don't see that button unless you're outside a specific topic but inside the section you want. So, probably for most people most of the time, your way is much, much easier 😀

Ahhh. I found (the button) to what you are referring!

I'm always in a topic, or viewing my list of watched or newest topics.
(Or I use the button in the top menu.)

Yep, we prolific long-time members have fine-tuned our processes to suit our personal preferences quite nicely 😊

Bob, the need to do that changed several years ago; there is a direct link to "all sections" at the bottom of every UHH page.

A tip relating to the OP: When you are inside your section of interest, the "Create new topic" button directly above daily postings (and any pinned topics) creates a new topic within that specific section; there's no list.

Linda, how many people scroll all the way down and then read that tiny print? It is as close to "hidden in plain sight" as it can get other than maybe making the font yellow a tiny shade different than the page itself.

Admin, please do not pay attention to the idea of making the font yellow, just pretend I don't exist, let alone had such an idea as that.

If I'm logged in and click "home," the only sections that show up are the ones to which I'm subscribed. Otherwise, I still have to scroll down quite far to find "all sections."

I vote for pink - don't want to confuse the yellow highlighting of incoming private messages

Thank you one and all. I think subscribing to each of the areas I am interested in seems to be the most simple way to take care of this. It is a bit frustrating though because there's a bit of confusion here as well. For example, I had NO idea that there were special "bird" and "Christian" categories and the critique isn't really obvious, either. A simple thing that the owners/admins could do is change the greeting letter to include a list of all forums and a simple "how to" that explains the customization.

I am not saying any of this in a bitchy way, and apologies if it comes off like that. It's just that I see some difficulties here and if I am going to be a member here, I want to contribute in a positive way, including suggestions. I was a Mod on the PopPhoto forum for a few years and it seems like quite a change in cultures from there to here, so takes some getting used to. Anyway, thanks for the help.
