Maybe we should all get rid of our guns and let the newly defunded police departments protect us.

And while your wife is being raped how long will it take you to get that all put together to do some damage to the rapist?

Please take that comedy show on the road. It might reap a profit for you. Oh, and pay attention to Biden's instructions to fire off two shots into the air to keep thugs away. That won't work worth a damn either but it will keep you busy while a crook does his business in your home.

NOT A DARN THING - Police response time depending on where you live - 5 to 30 min. - my personal response time is counted in seconds for my family and unarmed neighbors in time of need.

And how often have you had to defend your family?

By the time I find my gun and load it the police would be here and probably shoot me.

We just have no fear here and not just because my next door neighbor is an OPP officer.

Once or twice for sure - an unloaded gun is like leaving your spare tire without air in it. Yep had police officers for neighbors a couple times - they were glad I backed them up a couple times.
Unloaded guns k**l a injure many every year - "EVERY GUN IS CONSIDERED LOADED till you check it yourself.

Totally agree, but stuff like that is a very rare thing around here.

In case it happens, you are not supposed to defend yourself it is against the law, check your "constitution"

Sorry but we are not a gun crazed country, most of us have guns but we are not in love with them. We use them for hunting or target shooting and that’s about it.

Is not being crazed but being aware and having fun doing it.
I remember Montreal in the '50s 60's , except for the few insane who triggered the political agenda in the 70's everything was OK. Then Liberals show their faces, as I say before not having a constitution like ours didn't help you at all

If in the USA the law-abiding guns owners were the problem we will be eradicated a long time ago

A couple of things you may not have noticed my friend. We ALL don't live there. In some areas, if you read the newspapers, you will see that home break ins are fairly common. There are reports of a woman alone shooting over 3 armed intruders with an AR 15 rifle.

When I lived on a ranch in Colorado I hardly ever needed any protection except from bears, lions and rattlesnakes. But on one occasion a neighbors said she saw a man walking onto my property. She called to him, he he heard her but kept walking. Her next call was to the Sheriff. My wife and I arrived shortly after she called the Sheriff. At 20 miles from town we knew it would be a wait. I went into the house, grabbed one of my house guns, a Remington 870 and went out to my yard. I announced loudly that the Sheriff was on his way and whoever was there had better stand up and be unarmed. Five seconds later a man stood up about 50 yards from me hidden in tall grass. Had he been a threat there is no doubt in my mind, or his, that I would have exchanged gunfire with him.

You may live in a tame area. How would you like to live right now in Detroit, Portland, Seattle, NYC or any other part of America where violent r****rs are literally doing their best to burn the city down. Some people do and some innocent people have been k**led or injured by these violent protestors. Who are you to deprive those people of self defense just because you live in Bum Clod, Canada?

A gun is just a tool. You can't use them for protection because you're not allowed to.

Even if I agreed with you about America being a gun crazed country, I DO NOT AGREE, if we are then shouldn't the HONEST citizens have a right to protect themselves from the gun crazed people? That sure sounds like common sense to me but apparently not you. The key words there are honest citizens in case you missed that part.

I use my firearms for hunting and target shooting too. You seem to think that is acceptable. But what if I am returning home from hunting or target shooting and someone takes a shot at me while I am shopping in my local store. Should I allow him to k**l me? No police there yet and I have a firearm from hunting and target shooting on my person. Your choice my friend. You are me. Do you allow yourself to be slaughtered or do you defend yourself? Personally I am going to do all I can to stop the threat to me and my family and others in the area. We call that a hint down here.
