How many of you are in this same situation. This is a table of various stuff related to the technology in my life. Motorized gimbals, non-motorized, battery chargers, cables, camera (one of 3 I own), various manuals (most of them lost by now since all are easily replaced online). This is not even all of it. I have multiple chargers by my bed to charge phones, ipads, readers, watch, overnite.

So, when am I to consider that I am overwhelmed by technology. When is enough? I don't want to have the most toys when I die, since I don't even want to die!

Ohhh I don’t think you are full yet...I still see lots of room on that table!

My two main hobbies are photography and music. I am not exaggerating when I say I have shelves and closets full of gear.

LOL.
Out with my friend yesterday I was continually joking about all the gadgets he had with him while i was carrying light. Told him to carry a car battery to power up all his tools

not even close to this worry.
I have collected cameras and old ones as well that have been used now for history lessons.
Also most were family cameras including a couple of Instamatics.
Guess I have never been a hoarder though.

First, I refuse to have a tv on the bedroom, so that eliminates one. And for the living room with the TV with soundbar and firestick, only one. My bro-in-law gave me a Christmas present of a universal remote by Logitech.
After I spent a couple of hours figuring out how to program it, it now turns everything on and off. Very nice and finally I have put the other remotes in the "do not need" drawer.

I’m in the same happy boat. Guitars, amps and sound gear for successful performing and/or recording can take up far more space and can be just as complex as photo gear. I and maybe others have the added wrinkle of unexpectedly being in Covid quarantine in a secondary location. While my primary cameras and instruments made the trip, much supporting gear and accessories have needed to be duplicated, which only adds to “stuff.”

And if you are the type to keep boxes for possible resale, those are a space hog in their own right!

You guys are pikers - I own 3 British cars and in the local British car club, I’m considered a piker. Some have lifts in their garages so they can stack them.

At least I can put "stuff" in a box. My life is that way with passwords!

When I get a new device the first thing I do is label the charger, both with a sharpie and paper label. Organized mess.

Thankfully I am not in that position.
Mine is slightly different. I Have saved every card, note, drawing my children have ever given me. I have also done the same with my grandchildren. Also wedding anniversary cards(51). I only have a camera two lenses and a travel tripod.

You’ve taken all the fun out of rummaging through boxes of old cables, chargers, remotes, etc., etc. looking for that adaptor you know you once had.

I had the same problem - a closet full of rarely used photo stuff.
My Grandaughter (Breanna) has really blossomed as a 21 year old photographer.
I boxed up all my STUFF that I never use and made her a gift - she was as happy as a pig in mud.

Pass it on and make some smile.
