There was just post by 'old guy' and that got me wondering how old is the average person on this forum.
I'll start it out by saying I'm 80 birthday is in two days. So now it's your turn - how old are you - really?

When you're older, you won't be counting the days like that.

Wow, he really is older than dirt.
75. My father passed away at age 99 and mother at 95. They were married 76 and 1/2 years. I'm hoping to surpass my father's age.

A number of years ago a colleague of mine submitted a research paper to a scientific journal. In describing the work he used a mix of unit systems because some parameters were expressed in commonly used units, although they were not SI units. One of the referees objected to the use of these common units and insisted the paper should use SI units throughout. One of the characteristics of the test subjects was age; undaunted, my colleague gave the ages of the subjects in the SI unit of time... seconds.
With that, my age is 2,228,428,800 seconds (plus/minus about 43,200 seconds). For those without a calculator -- or sense of humour -- that comes to 70.663 years.
WE had to invent dirt.
Otherwise playing "hide and seek" was moot.
