Enjoying a cool evening before it gets hot again. The last two are at 3200 ISO. Crazy, it is hard for me to comprehend. Seems like only 10years ago 400 or dare I say 800 were king.

Love these! It truly is amazing to see how far we’ve come and how far ISO can go.

Great images. Yes, practical ISOs have gone up over the years. I well remember films from ASA 25 to 400. But for your Deer shots was the light so low that you needed an ISO of 3200? I guess my question really asks what lens and how far were you.

The first was much earlier on the previous day. The second one, no didn't really need 3200 but it is better than the one I have at 2000. Brighter and with the faster shutter speed stopped his motion (he is a nervous one) and noise isn't bad. The last one, maybe, for the shutter speed. He was pretty far off. I am shooting the deer hand held at 560mm (100-400 with1.4 extender) because they really really don't like the tripod. They don't seem to mind a camera with a long lens though.

You are welcome. This has been a banner year so far. Just hoping they don't get spooky when the velvet starts coming off.
