MY brand new very high speed PC with a rtx2080 super GPU doesn't have a card slot either. Usually only consumer grade average pcs have card readers. You can add a reader into a pci slot or use a usb external but plugging my camera in with my GPU and xqd card is so fast you probably wouldn't believe it. 200 images raw large less than 15 seconds. Card reader? No way in my world.
