We also have to factor in that it is a very contagious v***s, and maybe mutating to be more contagious, and it can be spread by asymptomatic infected people. We have tried reopening without precautions and it isn't working.

It's ironic that Bill Gates told us there would be a second wave just before the second wave happens. There may even be new diseases coming. People can make sense of this in the way they wish. There is a lot of strangeness and a lot of room for severe speculation.

That's what the evironmentalists have been saying for a long year. Today, Joe Biden says, "nine years." It isn't exactly like that. And not everyone is going to die. But millions do die in nuclear war, in environmental disasters, in plagues, earthquakes, etc. I am not a pessimist. This is going to lead to some really good things as well. But nature always takes care of itself. And reduces the population when needed. It is just the way it is.

One might opt for a society with no doctors, drugs, v*****es, et all and just let nature take its course and there are such groups. That's not what most seem to be interested in, so the real decision must be to have some power formulate guidelines or rules to decide what our responses for certain situations should be.

I suppose you can make that kind of argument, but that is not where I was going with this. The key is to recognize the real nature of things. How do you stop a war? How do you clean up a society? What is really hard though is to stop the increase of earthquakes and volcanoes that are happening. It is not that g****l w*****g is not real. The question is, what is really causing it? Mankind is no doubt partially responsible, but g****l w*****g in itself does not cause an increase in magma flowing under the mantle. What can do that is increased solar radiation. That happens because the earth's magnetic field is weakening. Why? Well, let's see how this comes out. There is much more here than meets the eye. And more than people can generally digest.

And all the increased "great" testing in Florida is causing the skyrocketing of positive tests....

Only inconvenience is that the nummoo Ninober of positives in FL are 20% of the total tests. The simple t***h is our beloved USA, the greatest country in the world, screwed up royally in dealing with the c****-**.

135,984 deaths
US

72,833 deaths
Brazil

45,053 deaths
United Kingdom

35,491 deaths
Mexico

34,984 deaths
Italy

30,032 deaths
France

28,409 deaths
Spain

23,727 deaths
India
And all the increased "great" testing in... (show quote)

These numbers are totally meaningless and useless for comparison purposes. To compare countries you should use "per capita" values.

Here, things are closing back down again. And I think they are in a lot of places. Restaurants were allowing a few people into their shops, now it is curbside only again.

Lol, perhaps when we are used to being busy, sudden excess time or extraordinary events do not always make for positive or productive thoughts !

Most of us, and I am not exempt, have preconceived ideas about the way things are, and filter facts through those preconceived ideas. It's human nature.

Gee, I thought most us Attic participants were fairly open minded and quite receptive to opposing views.

And everyone is polite and open-minded, always receptive to contrasting points of view.
