Polarizing filter for Sigma 150-600mm lens.

FWIW, I just took my D810 with the 150-600mm G2 Tamron lens set at 600mm and the B+W CPF, and took a shot of a house about 100m away with then lens well defocused. When I pressed the AF button, the lens quickly focused and the picture was taken. The details in the bricks was sharp. So unless your Canon camera's AF threshold sensitivity is a lot poorer than my Nikon camera, I still would consider your CPF is the problem.
