Many years ago I saw a bumper sticker that read: ” My refrigerator is a Lucas. It doesn’t work either.”

Yes Jack, that was a big problem with the early Jags.

I'm afraid you will have to stand in a long line Ray! Thanks for commenting.

Here’s my MKII, purchased around 1972 for $600 plus the cost of a BRG paint job. Brought over by an Englishman, ~60K miles and a service log book stamped in Coventry. 3.4L 4 speed (non synchro 1st!), no air, no PS - a real bear in the summer on a narrow road.

I had a '63 - Chrome wires, PS + overdrive. After 98K miles in '68 I traded it even for a British delivery of a MGBGT. I still have the B + '53 XK120+ '66 E OTS. The 3.8 MKII was really the first super sports sedan. I won the Southern Arizona slalom championship with it. Wish I still had it, great driver and lots of fun, easy 125mph. It still has timeless esthetic appreciation.

It appears to have been well-cared-for all these years Trix. Lovely vehicle no question.
