Beautiful shots of a beautiful automobile. I can just hear the purr of the dual overhead cam straight-six engine.

Very nice! My father picked me up from school one day in 1960 in a black XK-150S (3 SUs) convertible (drop head) with chrome wires and red leather, and I was hooked on sports cars. Many years later, I owned a MKiI sedan - one of my many experiences with Lucas electricals, SUs, Smith gauges, Armstrong dampers, Girling brakes, Lacock overdrives and leaks of every fluid from every possible orfice. Thanks for posting.

In 1966, I bought a 1960 150 DHC for $1000 (more than it sounds now) and got $1000 in trade on a new 1969 BRG XKE OTC that I had until about 1983. We still own 2 newer Jags (2004 & 2012) but usually drive a Mini Countryman S in town.

What a beautiful car. My dad had a jag when I was a kid. His bud's nicknamed him Stirling Moss.

My cousin had one. What a MAGNIFICENT car ... that always had something wrong with it.

"Great Lucas electrical"--is this satire? Lucas is often called "The Prince of Darkness" and those points type fuel pumps were awful, not to mention many circuits all run from just two fuses.
