To me, not an expert in landscape photography for sure, the image is simple enough. It has beautiful colors, an excellent subject, it is well balanced and that yellow, as a bright color that it is, immediately catches the eye of the viewer.
My only objection is that in my case and if I was shooting this scene I would have used more of the sky coming with my crop closer to the yellow bar.

While you are technically correct, I think from a color perspective it creates balance the way it is with the predominantly yellow that catches the viewers eyes. That being said you are correct if the yellow was more muted.

Very basic subject matter, but I didn't feel it needed anything more. The yellow band is a large canola field (canola oil) and the brilliance and depth of the yellow color is not to be believed - it is almost neon in real life, and difficult to capture entirely. Again, Montana in the spring is just amazing!

Nice capture, download really shows the colors. Very crisp. Don’t like the viewer edit as much.

Stunning. Love the light, the color, the composition. Run, don’t walk to get it printed and framed.

An awesome photo, Tommy. Simple, great color, good composition and a sense of place. Just right IMO.

If you follow my posts at all, you are aware that I exhibit a lot of barn photos. That said, this is to me the epitome of simplicity--nothing extraneous, nothing distracting. That’s what simplicity in a photo is. Cropping as suggested reduces the photo from a beautiful scene to an architecture shot, certainly not Tommy’s intention.

One other thing--the composition with a third, a third, and a third--is just about perfect.

Tommy, I’ve been through all of today’s offerings, and this is the photo of the day for me.

My only regret about the photo is that I didn’t take it--I’m jealous.
